Communication and Coordination Help CGH Medical Center

CGH Medical Center

Healthcare projects involve many moving parts. Expert scheduling, coordination, and communication aren’t just key to these projects’ success and completion; they are a requirement. So when CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL, needed a general contractor to coordinate the replacement of six air handling units on their roof plus many mechanical improvements, they knew our team was up to the challenge.

Complex Project Leaves Nothing to Chance

Working with CGH’s staff and Loescher Heating and Air Conditioning, our team coordinated this large endeavor.

  • Scheduling this complex project was a large undertaking and took months in advance to keep all parties on the same page.
  • Since the AHU was placed using a helicopter and crane, Cord performed comprehensive site assessments to ensure the best logistics and safety plans were in place for a successful installation.
  • Crews had to re-work the existing mechanical penthouse and extend the building’s parapet wall. The work was completed while the hospital remained fully operational.
